Judge: PAUL SULLIVAN.

After a long career in advertising art, Paul Sullivan has been a full time watercolor artist for over ten years. A graduate of The University of Toledo and The Toledo Museum School of Design, Paul has a BA in fine art. After working with advertising agencies for several years, Paul established an advertising art studio. The studio produced design and illustration for a number of Fortune 500 companies such as Owens Corning Fiberglas and LOF glass. For the last 20 years of his commercial career Paul worked as a designer, illustrator and eventually as an art director for Motorola Visual Media Communications in Arizona.

Paul is a signature member of the Watercolor Society of Alabama, the Arizona Watercolor Association and the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society. His work has appeared in national watercolor society exhibitions throughout the country. One of Paul's paintings was a First Place winner in American Artist magazine's 70th Anniversary Competition. Another painting received one of the two top awards at the 2010 National Watercolor Society, All Members Exhibition. Several of Paul's paintings have been featured in Splash, the hardcover review of American watercolor. Also, another of his paintings was published in a book on figure painting by International Artist magazine. This fall the Mayo Clinic will be displaying Paul's work in a one man show as a part of their Humanities in Medicine Program.
